With the addition of the JW Marriott Starr Pass resort in 2004, Starr Pass has quickly become one of the hottest developments in Tucson. Students in this neighborhood are zoned to Tucson Unified school district, and attend Cholla (pronounced "choi-ya") High School, which is conveniently located at the very beginning of Starr Pass road on the way to the highway. There are walking paths, hiking trails, golf cart paths and parks located throughout Starr Pass. It's location in the Tucson Mountains close to Saguaro National Park also means development is limited and it will never be completely surrounded.
